Based roughly on the 2005 London transit attacks, Govil’s film was very well received, achieving notice in Germany, and he was able to work with Mikaal Zulfiqar in a supporting role, who he brought into hin next film U R My Jaan, as the male lead.
A coming-of-age story showcased Govil’s second film production, about an orphan boy found along a footpath by an older woman. After being taunted by schoolboys, he decides he should seek his education, treating it as a personal challenge and achieves his dream against all odds. The film was directed by the world’s youngest director, Kishan Shrikanth, at age nine, and was backed by some of the best talent Bollywood had to offer.
With two films under his belt, Govil decided to release a film under his own banner, Aron Govil Productions,. Reuniting with one of the supporting actors from his first film, Mikaal Zulfiqar, as his male lead, he also brought in a fresh leading lady who had never been in film before, Preeti Soni. Loosely inspired by the Hollywood classic Pretty Woman, it crossed the paths between a business tycoon with a wealth obsession and a small-town Indian woman. The music numbers form his film reached top of the Indian music charts and became very popular as they were sung by the most prominent Indian singers.
Govil has a strong history of not only leading one of the world’s largest conglomerates but also acting as a talented producer, director and even an actor of Bollywood films.
