There is no denying that now more than ever, people are opting for cosmetic surgeries to enhance their appearances as well as boost their self-esteem. When it comes to surgical procedures, various studies show that Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) is one of the fastest growing cosmetic surgeries in the world. Hence, it doesn’t come as a surprise that BBL is extremely popular. This cosmetic procedure uses fat grafting to increase the size and shape of the butt, producing natural-looking results. While traditional BBLs are common, awake BBLs are now taking the world of plastic surgeries by storm. The difference is that traditional BBL procedures use general anesthesia, while awake BBLs use local anesthesia.

As far as awake BBLs are concerned, Dr. Cory Gaiser is a renowned surgeon who has helping countless women get their dream bodies. A leading physician, Dr. Cory is board certified in internal medicine; however he decided to switch focus. And as a result, he now practices cosmetic surgery and aesthetics. The interesting part is that medicine wasn’t his first choice. He initially planned to work in the skills trade, emphasizing rough farming and his end goal was to actually own a construction company. This led Dr. Cory to attend the Gulf Coast University and graduated with an Associate’s degree. When things didn’t seem to work out for him, he decided to enroll in the University of Michigan to pursue his medical degree. That’s where he discovered his interest in medicine and Dr. Cory changed his degree focus and graduated with a BA in Biology and a minor in Chemistry.

After graduation, he enrolled in the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine, graduating with a doctorate in medicine. He spent two years in New York and another two years on the Island of St. Maarten while studying. Once he graduated from medical school, Dr. Cory Gaiser completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. Later, a major primary care company gave him an exceptional offer that he just couldn’t deny. He accepted the offer and worked there for a considerable amount of time.

However, things can change quickly, and Dr. Cory understood that. After the birth of his first child, his wife wanted injectables to improve her look and help her return to her pre-pregnancy state. His wife was excited about it, but the experience didn’t meet her expectations. Dr. Cory Gaiser left the appointment thinking he could have provided a better experience and outcome. Nevertheless, this experience proved to be a turning point in his life, driving him to work in aesthetics and cosmetic surgery.

Dr. Cory Gaiser was introduced to liposuction after transitioning to aesthetics. He was initially doing injectables and small in-office procedures after switching. The move to liposuction seemed like the next logical step. Eventually, the expert realized he had a natural talent for liposuction. His experience with liposuction also led him to perform BBLs, making him well-renowned for his expertise and amazing work. Today, Dr. Cory is considered one of the leading aesthetic and cosmetic surgeons nationwide.

In 2019, he opened his modern primary care and aesthetic center, New Body Aesthetics, and was awarded the Cincinnati Healthcare Hero in 2020. Dr. Cory also won the Cincy Top Doc 2021 and best Medspa 2021 awards. In addition to these accomplishments, Dr. Cory Gaiser is also a key opinion leader (KOI) for the laser company Alma. Not only that, he also trains other providers on cosmetic surgery procedures, establishing himself as a leading authority and thought leader in his field.

Most patients still prefer traditional BBLs to awake BBLs because they think the procedure will be too painful. However, Dr. Cory Gaiser wants to remove this misconception and shares, “Awake BBLs are a completely safe in-office procedure. BBLs might seem painful because surgeons graft fat from other parts of your body, but local anesthesia is extremely beneficial.”

He further went on to elaborate, “It numbs your body, meaning you won’t feel any pain during the procedure. In addition, BBLs aren’t complicated procedures that require you to be asleep necessarily. As a result, I often recommend patients get awake BBLs instead of traditional ones.”

Dr. Cory Gaiser understands patients’ apprehension when getting an awake BBL. Hence, he conducts meeting with patients before conducting procedures. His main aim is to learn about their concerns so he can address them as well as understand what they consider a body condition that needs work. Such meetings also prove beneficial because they allow Dr. Cory Gaiser to educate his patients about the right procedure for them. And that is exactly what sets him apart from his competitors.
