During the novel coronavirus outbreak, many people got tired of their monotonous and boring routine due to social distancing and quarantine restrictions. To be honest, this was pretty natural. Human beings are social animals who blossom differently when they mingle with their friends and family.

If you wish to distract your mind from this stressful environment and uplift your mood in such a lockdown situation, watching a good movie could be a game changer.  The good news is that 2021 is all set to entertain us with a wide variety of genres, so you could choose the one that perfectly tickles your fancy.

Here is a list of some of the most anticipated movies coming in 2021:

Mortal Kombat

If you have been waiting for the inescapable Mortal Kombat reboot, the current year has surely got you covered. With Mechad Brooks, Joe Taslim, and Lewis Tan attached to the star, the latest franchise installment promises to be everything you could wish for in a fantasy and martial arts action movie. It will be produced by James Wan, so you will witness some unique magic that will spice up your entertainment.

Black Widow

This is the first Marvel film to begin its fourth phase with this prequel focused on Scarlett Johansson’s character Natasha Romanoff. Fans still do not know what exactly the story surrounding the role will be, but they do know that she will be seen alongside Rachel Weisz, David Harbour, and newcomers like Florence Pugh and others.

Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway

The plot for this sequel is securely locked up, but we are certain it will include James Corden’s impudent rabbit creating all types of PG-rated issues. We do not anticipate any blackberries included, however.

Cruella

Emma Stone will be seen in Disney’s upcoming live-action reboot of a classic old movie. Just like Maleficient, Cruella will paint a picture of a mysterious villain of one hundred and one Dalmatians in her teens and depict how she became overly obsessed with Dalmatian fur. With Mark Strong and Emma Thompson completing the cast, the film is bound to be worth every penny and long wait.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage

In this sequel to Spider-Man-adjacent 2018’s Sony blockbuster film Venom, Tom Hardy will come back to reprise his character as a journalist, Eddie Roack. Although the plot is secretive, rumors are that the film will revolve around Eddie entering into a mutually profitable partnership with an alien who possessed his body, and he will also confront a new villain in the shape of Woody Harrelson’s Carnage.

Cinderella

If someone could do justice to Whitney Houston’s role as the Fairy Godmother, it is only the Pose star and Broadway legend, Billy Porter.  Yes, you might feel there is no need for another Cinderella movie, but can you think of anything better than Camila Cabello and Idina Menzel bringing an amazing story to life?

Bottom Line

With a range of movies throughout 2020 postponing shooting and release dates, we can say that 2021 has gotten into a better fortune. Several studios are planning to release movies in both theatres and on streaming platforms at the same time.
